Healing herbs
Healing herbs were probably the reason witches, shamans, priests and healers became so powerful. The possibility of curing another human being is one of the noblest actions a person can do. Humankind has had it's share of selfishness and countless wars, but also, among these very villages and nations the desire to heal and help others has also existed. This wisdom was slowly acquired by man and many uses and procedures for a certain herb developed.
You have to admire the first healers that figured out herbs could help health and it's simply amazing the sophistication some cultures achieved in their knowledge of healing herbs. Some ointments and formulas require several herbs that blossom at different times during the year. The healer had to store one herb and then wait for the right time to harvest the other one and combine them together. Today, we have the wealth of several cultures that used different herbs, each available in their own locations and developed excellent ways to restore health. Even if modern medicine looks down on herbal remedies and healing herbs, the tradition of how they cure is valuable and is proving to be even better than medicine in many ways.
